Injured while working as a cop and lifting a patient to aid the Paramedics, I went throught the L4 to S1 fusion a year and a half later. I still have no relief and my next thing is an epidural injection. Tons of meds, PT, accupuncture, etc. and no relief. I actually just started blogging the other day to share some of what I learned about the whole process. (http://workerscompbackinjury.blogspot.com/2012/11/the-beginning.html)

Still getting jerked around by the comp carrier, too. But I have to say that my surgical team was great. Drs. John Beiner, Patrick Tomak and a vascualr surgeon whose name escapes me, were all highly qualified and the surgical part of my treatment was flawless- it just didn't fix what is causing my pain.

Thanks for sharing your information!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04289128649857427936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-722372896464687205.post-70103743715870609022012-01-13T11:49:50.314-08:002012-01-13T11:49:50.314-08:00My husband had his first fusion 8 yrs (L4 &5) ...My husband had his first fusion 8 yrs (L4 &5) and has done great.
